Lost and stolen passports

If you believe you have lost your Australian Passport, or if it has been stolen you should report this as soon as possible. You can do this:

  • Contact us at Australian High Commission, Singapore during business hours by calling +65 6836 4100; or
  • in person at our office

You are required by law to report the loss or theft of your passport as soon as possible.

You need to report the theft or loss to Singapore Police, who will provide you with a police report. They will then direct you to the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) at 10 Kallang Road, next to Lavender MRT Station, where you will be issued with a special Pass to legitimise your continued stay in Singapore.

When you come into the Australian High Commission, please bring the police report, any identification you have with you and two passport sized photographs. You will need to complete a passport application form as outlined above.

To apply for a replacement you will need to use the full application form (PC8 Form) as if you are applying for a first passport. You cannot use the simplified renewal form. If you cannot meet the requirements for a new full-validity passport, and you need to travel urgently, you can apply for an emergency passport. Strict conditions apply.

Passports are no longer be produced on site at all diplomatic posts around the world, including the Australian High Commission in Singapore. Production is centralised in only three locations: Canberra, London and Washington. It is not possible for Australian citizens to obtain a full validity passport from the Australian High Commission in Singapore at short notice.
